To start from the scratch... there are three basic things needed to click a photograph. First, light - natural or studio lights ; Second, equipment i.e. a camera - be it a film camera or digital camera ; Third, is a subject because without subject, there cannot be any photograph.
Lets start off with this photograph. In technical terms, this photograph has been taken on a DSLR camera. The light is falling on the subject (the girl) from the back side (left side of the frame) forming a shadow on the wall. The more the light - the darker the shadow. The title of this particular photograph is " DaNcInG wItH tHe sHaDoWs".
Now lets discuss the technical part. The specifications of the photograph is -
Aperture : f/5.6
Shutter Speed : 1/250
ISO : 1600
White Balance : Daylight
Spot Metering
And the most important thing one needs to click a good photograph is to have an eye to see something differently.

love walking with him / her..

doing nothing but sitting with him / her..

wanna fly higher and higher (with him / her)..

companion.... that's all what is needed to live and love....

lets begin

When I thought of writing the first post for my blog, I was a little confused as to where to start from. Then I thought of giving a bit of my introduction. It sounds boring though, but I think one needs to know about me before reading my stuff. Well, I am from Kolkata - the city of joy.. Being the only daughter of my parents, I was always given the liberty to choose what I want to do..till last year I was confused as to choose between my dream or the conventional way of living life.. Then I thought of choosing to chase my dream, achieve it and think about the rest.. So, what's my dream ? To become a photographer one day.. If not the best one but somewhere which s not much far from being the best.. The satisfaction of achieving my dream should be there. The one big decision that I took lately was to become a photojournalist. As a Career, I want to take up journalism and to be precise, photojournalism.. simply because I know I have it in me and will be successful if I try to give it my best shot. So, enough about me.. I started this blog to share two things - Firstly, my work and perception of a photograph (as a photographer) and some knowledge about photography which Igather from the books, my classes and through sheer experience.
